| Happy Birthday to the Gateway!
It seems like barely any time at all since Direct Visual was opening a brand new, purpose built headquarters in Elland, West Yorkshire, yet, unbelievably, they are preparing to celebrate the end of its first year of operation.
With a vast change in facilities the company has seen a massive change in culture and in business development.
DV’s new home, or The Gateway as it was christened, is equipped with top of the range communications networks and with the latest in facilities. Including IP Telephony, Microsoft CRM, 3 fully operational videoconferencing rooms, an AMX controlled presentation room and IP based CCTV.
The facility is a massive step from the companies’ former home in Batley, West Yorkshire, a single floor rented property, and has given DV the space to grow.
The first year has brought a vast amount of credit and recognition to the organisation, with a number of events being hosted at DV and a number of awards being credited to the company.
In fact, in May 2007 Direct Visual was rewarded by Polycom and Imago Group for sales of Polycom in the North of England, outselling every other Polycom reseller in the North of England.
This follows the Business of the Month Award Direct Visual won in July 2006 in the Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield region, landing them a place in the final for the Business of the Year Awards for the same region, set to be awarded to the winner on July 6th.
Direct Visual has placed themselves in a prime position to win the award with an impressive end to financial year 2006/2007, which included the companies first £1,000,000 month in March 2007, eclipsing their previous record of around £800,000 of sales done in the same month of the previous year.
The changes throughout Direct Visual have led to the ability to provide better support to customers and to inform and develop both staff and customers alike.
It truly has been the beginning of an excellent new dawn, you could say the Gateway to the future of video communications!
