Since its launch in May 2004, the DV Academy has gone
from strength to strength, filling 6 full days of training
for videoconferencing users from some of the UK's biggest
organisations.
The Academy was launched as a service to existing videoconferencing
users, allowing them to learn how to handle faults and
problems with the systems that have been installed within
their site.
Prior to a session the schedule is planned and worked
on by both the Academy co-ordinators and the trainees
and therefore a timetable of sessions is drawn up that
provides the necessary training, at the right level
of difficulty.
Sessions run so far have varied from VC Best Practice
to H.323 to Advanced Fault Finding. The training can
cover not only videoconferencing, but also Projection
systems, AMX and Interactive Whiteboards.
So far there has been a massive amount of interest
in the Academy and previous graduates have been full
of praise, not only for the training, but for the trainers
too:
Attendee's comments
"I now have much more confidence when handling
support issues, and feel more assured in my own judgment
of faults." Said one of the graduates.
"The trainers were excellent, the rapport they
had with each other really made the session much more
enjoyable than training sessions tend to be.".
"I'd definitely recommend the Academy to others!"
