Double Dec-ker Nears End of Route
The three year journey is approaching its final stop and success is not too far away.
Direct Visual is approaching the end of its three year project, Double Dec-ker, which began in April 2006.
During the three years of Double Dec-ker Direct Visual has moved from a rented property in Batley to a purpose built headquarters in Elland, doubling the amount of floor space available to the business, move from around thirty staff to fifty five, and increase turnover from £5 million in 2005/06 to an expected £10 million in 2008/09.
The business has literally doubled in size.
Although the changes appear to be very obvious, the more important changes have come internally with the development of the Support Team, Sales Engineering Department, Projects Team and Installations Department.
There has been vast investment within the organisation on training, providing the team with the skills required to give the quality support and service that we have become known for.
As the final weeks of the project gather momentum DV will aim to end the project with a positive outcome. Managing Director, Marina Shaw, is delighted with how the project has developed. “When we started we aimed high, to double the size of our business in many ways, but also looking to double the quality of our service and our team, and we have surpassed even our more hopeful of projections.”
“Our previous two projects were successes, and saw the business hit new heights, and it looks like Double Dec-ker is going to be the most successful one yet.”
As the project glides to a halt there are still many things that Direct Visual are hopeful to achieve, and many unexpected changes, including a brand new storage depot opening very soon, giving extra space for the current and future predicted expansion of the business.
Marina then summarised; “We are incredibly proud of our team and of our achievements, not just in the last three years, but, in the last thirteen. Double Dec-ker has yet again proven that Direct Visual is the leader in the industry.”
